NIC Urges Employers to Submit Outstanding Form C3 and Ensure Compliance

Castries, 27 May 2026 – The National Insurance Corporation (NIC) is reminding employers of the need to comply with the submission of their monthly remittance Form C3. This is essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring that employees receive their entitled benefits without delay.

Employers are reminded that Form C3, along with the corresponding payments, are due on the 7th of every month for the preceding month. That means C3 forms for May should reach the NIC no later than June 7th. The timely submission of these forms is critical, as failure to do so can adversely impact the benefit payments to employees, causing unnecessary delays.

Employers who have not yet submitted their Form C3 for any past periods are urged to do so immediately if employment existed during those periods.

If there were periods with no employment, employers must submit a Cessation of Employment form (Form COE 1) to account for any gaps in contributions. In cases where the business has ceased operations, a Closure of Business (Form COB 2) must be completed and submitted to the NIC.

The Cessation of Employment form and the Closure of Business form are available on the NIC website. The Form C3 can be collected at any NIC office.

Additionally, our records indicate that some employers submit their monthly Form C3 without including the requisite National Insurance number for each employee.

It is mandatory for every employer to ensure that all prospective employees present their National Insurance number when seeking employment. This is crucial, as no claim can be processed without a National Insurance number.

Employers should contact the National Insurance Corporation’s Compliance unit for further assistance.
